The Tohoku University 115th/100th Anniversary Year-End Exchange event organised by the African
Association of Miyagi (AFAM) was held on the 2nd of January 2023. The theme of the event was “Welcome
Party”. The event commenced at 5 PM JST at the Indian Restaurant Namaskar, Sendai. In attendance were 13
students and alumni of Tohoku University.
The Tohoku University African Alumni Webinar was organized by the African Association of Miyagi (AFAM)
to mark Tohoku University’s 115th anniversary. The theme of the webinar was “AFRICAN ALUMNI VISION
FOR AFRICA,” and it took place on August 21, 2022, at 9 p.m. JST.
